The Internet 📱💻

How many of us can stay off our phones for a day or two or more . Okay maybe not off your phones but off the internet. Most people can’t. The internet has consumed so much of most of us that we cannot do without it. I used to be like this once upon a time. There was a point when I couldn’t do without being on the internet or basically without my phone.

During the holidays I spent a lot of time with my cousin and I noticed that she was hardly on her phone. I was so perplexed and asked her why and she said ,”sometimes you just have to give yourself a break from all the online drama and focus on the real world ”

So I gave it a thought and I decided to give it a try. When my data plan finished I didn’t renew it. And from then onwards I was on my NO INTERNET BREAK.The first few days were very hard I must tell you. It was like I didn’t have any purpose without my phone but I stuck to my mission.

A few days passed and I got used to it. I found other things to keep me busy. I made sure that I had a variety of things to even when I was not online. I tried out new recipes, properly cleaned up my room, baked a lot of pastries and cakes, tried learning how to sew with my grandmothers sewing machine in which she scolded me and kept shouting that I was going to spoil it . lol 😂

Let’s just say that that period was quite addicting. You get so comfortable not being in any drama or unwanted stress that being online brought. Weeks passed without me noticing. Until one day a friend of mine called to tell me that school was starting soon, which I didn’t know about because I hadn’t been online for a while. At this point I had to get a data plan so that I would be updated on lectures and venues for them.

I think you guys should try it out tho. It’s actually really good for you. And you save a lot on data .

Just a simple Nigerian girl trying to make a mark in the world 🐾🌹
