Nigeria Is Bleeding 💔🩸
It’s a dark day for Nigerians.
A peaceful protest was held for the past few days for the security unit SARS to end. In the course of the protest, other issues plaguing Nigerians were raised.
These included
- Police brutality
- Lack of good education
- Inconsistent and over priced electricity
- Bad governance
- Inflation of goods
- Over taxing and others.
The ENDSARS protest became a canopy for all the other wrongs of the government towards its citizens. This was mostly led by the Nigerian youths who have put their lives in danger in hope of a better Nigeria.
A few days ago, in different parts of the federation, mostly the areas where the protests were intense, gunshots were fired into the air to disperse the crowd and innocent and peaceful protesters were killed💔.
It’s a dark time in Nigeria. Lives have been lost and it seems the that the government is orchestrating the whole thing.
I’ve not been able to sleep for the past few days now. The situation of the country is pathetic. The government has not taken accountability for the damage they have caused. The president Muhamadu Buhari made a ten minute “speech” addressing the country and the speech was wack! He didn’t address the issue at all.
I can only pray and hope for our country. I hope that all our efforts and lives lost won’t be in vain. That there will be changes because of our protests be it online and offline.
I put the families that have lost their loved ones in prayers. I pray that God brings you peace and the strength to carry on with your lives and brings you clarity.
I pray for our fallen heroes, who died at the forefront’s for a better Nigeria, may their souls rest in perfect peace ❤️
Love, Geraldine 💞🕊

October 24, 2020 at 3:01 pmI share your pains. Don’t loose courage and don’t give up. No matter the set backs, those who want a true change for the country have to work for it. It may be immediate. It may take time but definitely there will be a better tomorrow.

October 27, 2020 at 5:26 amIn real sense, the present state of this country is in shambles. We’ve kept on praying & praying. The fact here is the change we clamour for starts with us, within our small corner. For me one of the ways to avert this challenges is by deleting that mindset that our votes do no count in this country.By 2023 if you’re 18+ and you haven’t secured your PVC to vote in the general election, you’re the main problem in this country!!We need to be conscious henceforth of the people we vote in power before they vote is out of life!

December 2, 2020 at 9:32 amYou’re very right Godwin. We all have to inculcate the habit of voting in elections and encourage our friends to do so too. It’s the little things like you said that matter in our fight for a better Nigeria ✊🏽.
